Questions and Answers
Common questions about renovations, repairs, finishes, Town of Gilbert pool fence rules and removing a pool.
It depends on what's failing. A bad pump or a single leak is a repair. A rough, stained finish plus scaled tile and cracked coping usually points to a remodel, because all three require draining the pool anyway. We test first and tell you which one you're looking at.
Most include a new interior finish, new waterline tile and new coping. Many Gilbert owners also add a sun shelf, a spa, LED lighting or a variable-speed pump while the pool is empty. Your estimate lists each item separately so you can decide what to include.
Yes. The Town's pool barrier policy calls for an enclosure 5 to 6 feet tall with self-closing, self-latching gates, and it puts the responsibility on each pool owner. We check your fence and gates during the estimate.
We're a pool contractor for existing pools: remodels, repairs, leak work, tile cleaning, acid washes and removals. We don't build new pools or run weekly cleaning routes.

No. We handle remodels, repairs, tile work, acid washes and removals. Your weekly service company can keep caring for the pool after we finish.
The Town's pool fence policy, quoting its Land Development Code, calls for an enclosure not less than 5 feet nor more than 6 feet tall, with self-closing, self-latching gates.
As short a time as the work allows. An acid wash takes about a day. A resurface or tile job takes longer, and we plan the schedule so the shell isn't left empty in peak heat any longer than needed.
Sometimes. Older tile lines are often discontinued, so for a large repair we usually suggest a full new waterline band rather than a patch that won't match.
